Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese ancestry, while her father, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with deep roots in The American South. The couple split when she was just two years old. She was raised by her mother as well as her stepfather who is a United States Air Force officer. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and resided in many places, she was raised at Tokyo, Japan. She appeared in local theatre productions during this period as well as becoming a actress for Japanese business. As the family retreated back to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her ambition of becoming an actor. Her acting journey began with a small part. Then, her career took off when she was cast in the role of Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-lensed TV show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she appeared as Rob Schneider's Receptionist. She hosts "The Daily Nut" and"Formula D," the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she continues to browse. Also, she has a blackbelt in Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother got married again and this time, with the same US Air Force member. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. University of Oklahoma. Majored in and minored in Japanese and the Dramatic Arts.
